The Free Online Polaroid Booth

A Polaroid booth turns a photo into the thing everyone recognises: a square picture on a white card, with the wide strip at the bottom where you write who, where and when. This one does it in your browser. Upload a photo from your camera roll, or snap one with your phone or laptop camera, and it comes out as a Polaroid-style card you can save, share or print.

The card is drawn the way instant film actually looks: a slightly soft picture with glowing highlights and real grain, an uneven developer edge where the picture meets the frame, the picture set just below the card's surface, and card stock with a fine texture and softly rounded corners. Choose a film, a card size and a frame, from plain white or black to gingham, leopard, cherries, bows and daisies, and drag the photo inside the window until it sits right. Add several photos at once and each one becomes its own card. Nothing is uploaded: the card is drawn on your device.

Used to use PolaroidBooth.com? That was us. Roll Booth is the new name for the same free photo booth, and everything you used there lives here now: the photo booth, the photo strips and frames, and this Polaroid booth. The PolaroidBooth.com domain is no longer ours, so anything at that address today is not run by us. Bookmark rollbooth.com/polaroid-booth to come straight back.

How to Make a Polaroid Card Online

  1. Add a photo. Tap Upload photos and pick one or more pictures, or tap Use camera to take one with a three-second countdown.
  2. Frame it. Drag the photo to move it inside the frame and use the zoom slider to crop tighter. Faces look best a little above the middle.
  3. Pick a film. Color, B&W, Cool, Expired or a blue or red duotone. Each one changes the colour, softness and grain the way a real film stock would.
  4. Pick a frame. Plain card in white, cream, black, blush or sky, or a printed pattern: four ginghams, leopard, cherries, bows, hearts, daisies, oranges, polka dots or a scalloped flower edge. Every change shows on the card straight away.
  5. Download. Save the card as a high-resolution PNG, share it straight to an app on your phone, or download every card at once.

Send Your Polaroids as a Gift

Made a card of someone you love? Tap Make it a gift video, write who it is for and a short note, and pick a wrapping. Roll Booth turns your cards into a short vertical video: a sealed envelope opens, each Polaroid slides out and develops from dark to full colour as it shakes, and your note unfolds at the end. Send it on WhatsApp, in a DM or as a story. The video is made on your phone and nothing is uploaded, so your photos stay yours.

Three Card Sizes

The card sizes follow the proportions of real instant film, so a printed card looks right next to the real thing.

Film Looks

Every film except Original adds the things that make instant prints look like instant prints: a slight softness, a glow around bright areas, grain that clumps in the mid-tones, darker corners and an uneven developer edge round the picture.

What to Do With Your Polaroid Cards

Polaroid Booth or Photo Strip?

A Polaroid booth gives you one picture with room to write. A photo strip gives you a sequence: three, four or eight shots taken one after another, the way a classic photo booth works. If you want a moment, make a card here. If you want the story of the moment, the countdown, the pose, the laugh, start the online photo booth instead. If you already have the photos, the photostrip maker builds a strip from your camera roll, and the Polaroid frame maker shoots a single framed photo through the booth camera.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the online Polaroid booth free?

Yes. It is free with no account, no signup, no watermark and no download. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac and Windows.

Was Roll Booth called PolaroidBooth.com?

Yes. Roll Booth was PolaroidBooth.com before it changed its name. The photo booth, strips, frames and Polaroid booth all moved to rollbooth.com. The PolaroidBooth.com domain is no longer ours, so a site at that address today is not run by Roll Booth.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photos are read and drawn into the card on your own device. They never leave your phone or computer unless you share the finished card yourself.

Do I need a Polaroid camera?

No. Any photo works, from your camera roll or taken with the camera button on this page. The tool recreates the instant-photo card digitally.

Can I use a patterned Polaroid frame?

Yes. Besides plain white, cream, black, blush and sky card, there are printed frames: lilac, blue, peach and berry gingham, leopard, cherries, bows, hearts, daisies, oranges, polka dots and a scalloped flower edge.

Can I make several Polaroid cards at once?

Yes. Select several photos when you upload. Each becomes its own card with its own crop; the size, film and frame apply to all of them, and Download all saves every card.

What size should I print a Polaroid card?

Print at 100% scale. A classic card is 88 × 107 mm and fits on a standard 4 × 6 inch photo print, which you can trim along the edge of the card.

Can I send a Polaroid card as a gift?

Yes. Tap Make it a gift video, add who it is for, who it is from and a note, and Roll Booth makes a short video of an envelope opening, your Polaroids developing and your note unfolding. Save it or send it straight to WhatsApp or Instagram. It is made on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Is Roll Booth affiliated with Polaroid?

No. Polaroid is a trademark of its owner, and Roll Booth is an independent free photo booth that makes Polaroid-style cards. We are not connected to or endorsed by Polaroid.
