Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Roll Booth ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and the Roll Booth photobooth application (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Summary

Roll Booth is designed to be a privacy-respecting application. We do not require accounts, we do not store the photos you take, and we process all images locally in your browser. The only information we collect about you is standard analytics data and the data used by our advertising partners to serve ads. The sections below explain this in more detail.

2. Information we do not collect

We want to be especially clear about what we don't do:

• We do not store your photos. Every photo you take with Roll Booth is processed entirely on your own device using your browser's built-in canvas tools. The final receipt image is generated locally and downloaded directly to your device. We never see, store, or transmit your photos to our servers.
• We do not require accounts. You don't need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use the photobooth.
• We do not collect biometric data. While the app uses your webcam to capture images, those images never leave your device, and we don't run facial recognition, identity matching, or any other biometric analysis on them.
• We do not sell personal data. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

3. Information we do collect

3.1 Camera and microphone access

The Service uses the standard browser MediaDevices API to access your webcam. This requires explicit permission from your browser, which you can grant or deny at any time. We never request microphone access. All image data stays on your device.

3.2 Analytics data

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics may collect information such as:

• Your approximate location (typically the country or region)
• The pages you visit and the time you spend on them
• The device, operating system, and browser you use
• How you arrived at our site (referrer URL or search term)
• Anonymous identifiers stored in cookies

3.3 Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, preference storage, and (where applicable) advertising. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent the photobooth from working, but may affect ad relevance and analytics accuracy.

3.4 Server logs

Like most web servers, ours automatically log basic technical information when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. This data is used for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Logs are typically retained for 30–90 days.

4. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These networks use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads that may be relevant to your interests. Specifically:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do hold. However, no system is perfectly secure. Because we do not store your photos, the surface area for sensitive data exposure is intentionally small.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
