Filter Cam: photo booth filters, live on your camera
Filter Cam is Roll Booth's live filter camera. Point your phone or laptop camera at yourself and every look plays in real time: grainy film, a 2000s CCD digicam, VHS tape, a fisheye lens, thermal heat-map and more. You see the photo before you take it. Swipe the picture, use the arrow buttons, or tap a filter in the tray to change the look.
Switch to Strip and the camera shoots three photos on a countdown, the way a real photo booth does, then opens the strip in the studio, where you can add sticker packs, text and a backdrop.
How to use it
- Press Start camera and allow camera access. No camera? Upload a photo instead.
- Pick a filter from the tray, or swipe the picture to flick through them.
- Press the shutter for one photo, or choose Strip for three in a row.
- Save it, or press Add stickers to decorate it in the studio.

Questions
Is Filter Cam free?
Yes. Every filter, the strip mode and the studio are free, with no account and no watermark across your photo.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The filters run in your browser on your own device. Your camera feed and your photos never leave it.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in Safari, Chrome and other modern browsers. On a phone you can switch between the front and back camera.
Why does a filter look slower than the others?
Looks like Low Quality, Halftone and the Y2K cameras work on every pixel. On a slower phone the live preview drops its resolution to stay smooth, but the photo you save is always made at full size.
