Windows laptops, MacBooks, Chromebooks and desktop PCs with a USB webcam all work, and so do iPhones and Android phones. The booth uses your browser's built-in camera access, so all you need is a modern browser.

Webcam not working?

If the booth shows a black box or never asks for the camera, one of these is almost always the cause:

1. Allow camera access in the browser. Click the camera or lock icon at the left of the address bar, set Camera to Allow, then reload the page. If you once clicked Block, the browser remembers that until you change it there.
2. Close other apps using the camera. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime or OBS can hold the webcam so nothing else can use it. Quit them fully, then reload.
3. Check your computer's privacy settings. On Windows, open Settings → Privacy & security → Camera and turn on camera access for apps and for your browser. On a Mac, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and switch your browser on.
4. Use Chrome or Edge, over HTTPS. Browsers only share a camera with secure pages, so make sure the address starts with https://rollbooth.com. An up-to-date Chrome or Edge is the most reliable choice — and you can always upload photos instead of shooting live.
